Something completely different...
Librarians and staffers from the University of Washington Library School strutting their stuff to promote libraries.
The Best the FNSBSD has to offer! Elementary Library Associates!
Librarians were met at the front door by Mr. Larry Mitchell's grade 4/5 students who cheerfully escorted and carried our bags to the Library for our wrap-up meeting. Ladies and Gents.
Badger Peeps!
Jamie Fine at Badger Elementary hosted a contest with her students. Dioramas created using Peeps! The general guidelines were that the scene depicted was from a book the student had read. There were a whopping 160 + entries. Great Job!
Sports!
Here are a few snapshots to give you an idea of what these kits look like.
Alaska's Winter
Snow, dogs, and dog mushing: three familiar themes to life in Interior Alaska. Featured here are three books from our Children's Library and the sled model from the Athabascan Culture Unit kit.
Three more books from our Children's Library, a video, and the house model from the Athabascan Culture Unit kit.
Just an example of community events during the month of December. And people say there's nothing to do here!
